About Fantasy Art Workshop

Fantasy Art Workshop, cofounded by husband and wife team Jeff Miracola and Silvia Acevedo, is a division of Three Points Publishing and hosts its master collection of art technique videos, instructional DVDs, and in-person fantasy art seminars. Through Fantasy Art Workshop, world renowned artist Jeff Miracola shares his lifetime of expertise in the fantasy industry with other artists, beginner to professional, who hope to work in the field or simply advance their skills.

Jeff Miracola

Jeff Miracola has been a professional illustrator since 1993 and has illustrated for properties such as Dungeons & Dragons, World of Warcraft, Mars Attacks, Star Wars, Earthdawn, Shadowrun, as well as Magic the Gathering, for which he has illustrated over 150 cards. Jeff’s work also includes conceptual toy and video game design, advertising and editorial illustration, and children’s books for clients such as Target, Electronic Arts, ImagineFX Magazine, Scholastic, and more.

Jeff’s honors include a Gold Award in Infected by Art vol. 2, Silver Award from Spectrum: the Best in Fantastic Art, being 2011 GenCon Artist Guest of Honor, and having his work exhibited in multiple museum exhibits, such as “Masters of Science Fiction & Fantasy Art” (Kenosha Public Museum), “Dream Worlds: The Art of Imaginative Realism” (Canton Museum of Art), “Enchanted Brush”(Mazza Museum), and “Worldbuilders” (South Bend Museum of Art) alongside legendary artist Michael Whelan.

Silvia Acevedo

Silvia Acevedo is an award-winning children’s book author who worked in New York publishing at Scholastic, literary agency Writers House, and Inkluded, a nonprofit championing diversity in publishing. She led the Wisconsin chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and also sat on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Writers Association.

Before her deep dive into fiction, Silvia enjoyed 25+ years of nonfiction as a journalist, working as a TV news reporter and anchor, radio host, and magazine and newspaper writer. She covered everything from presidential candidates to state-fair-food-on-a-stick.
